LUXURY KITCHEN DESIGN

When designing in the “Spanish Hacienda” style, materials matter. Our customer wanted a white kitchen, so we used painted cabinetry as our starting point. We next incorporated a wonderful terracotta floor with a glazed finish to anchor us firmly in the style of the home. Arched top windows were incorporated throughout the design, most notably flanking the range and hood. Our signature hot-rolled steel hood presents somewhat understated against the dramatic patterned tile that extends from the countertop all the way up the wall. A built-in pantry cabinet topped by a custom-made wine rack was our innovation to capture the unused space beneath the staircase. The literal centerpiece of the design is the multi-use island. A unique aqua colored finish was applied over alder wood, rubbed through on the edges, and finished off with a coffee glaze. That island was then completed with a natural walnut wood top for the work surface, and as a little “surprising turn”, seating for four was created using a custom stone top table design incorporated into the end of the island. Iron “candelabra” style pendants finish off the style and provide a warm ambient glow in the evenings and early morning… inviting, yes?
