A Tailored Sanctuary Crafted for Comfort and Privacy
Tract homes have their advantages…but custom design created for an individual lifestyle isn’t one of them. Our clients came to us with aspirations for a beautiful main bath retreat that would replace the lackluster tract home version. We began by selecting finishes that would elevate our aesthetic. We chose a textured tile and applied it floor to ceiling behind the vanities and the soaking tub. This afforded us the opportunity to provide flush inset mirrors as well. The neighboring house is literally 10 ft. away outside the window over the tub. Our clients wanted the light, but not the loss of privacy that a large window would introduce. The solution of the textured opaque glass allowed for the interjection of some personalized style in the leaded glass pattern. We also were able to make more room in the bedroom areas by moving the dresser function into the bath! The demi height bank of 15 drawer anchors the room and provides a dramatic improvement in storage space. We thought our clients’ choice of artwork was a beautiful addition to our design.
This is our second time using Lance and Marcie on a project. The first was on a large primary bath in a previous home of ours. The end result was a gorgeous bath that was one of the primary reasons we had multiple offers when we sold our home a few years after the remodel. A year ago we moved into a home built in ’65 that needed extensive work – removing walls, raising ceilings, adding baths and adding a fabulous kitchen. We had already established a strong foundation of trust with Lance so we didn’t even consider working with another designer. The project was recently completed and Lance’s experience in construction as well as his obvious design background resulted in our dream home! I can’t say enough about not only what talented, creative person he is, but he’s also someone you really enjoy working with!
