Mosaic Modern Harmony

For this project, we were faced with a very dated space that had been remodeled numerous times before.  Our goal was to open up the kitchen to the living areas both inside and outside the home.  Our clients wanted a showpiece that would also be functional for entertaining both large and small groups.  We removed a wall between the dining area and the kitchen to connect to the main house.  Because it is now on display from the main areas of the home, we concealed refrigeration into fully integrated cabinetry, and we made a colorful design anchor for the range wall in the selection of the backsplash tile.  At our suggestion, our clients splurged on a folding door system that connects the kitchen to the outdoor entertainment areas.  A shaded pavilion space was nested into the slope of the hill behind the house to create a visible destination through the folding door.  We love this kitchen… and more importantly, so do our clients!
