Our challenge here was to design a spacious kitchen for a large, active family… and to take advantage of a world-class panoramic coastal view in the process. Most of the wall space was given over to windows leaving only the side walls for the necessary appliances and any dish storage. Our solutions included s large range and custom decorative hood. This option actually preserves counter and wall space over a separate cooktop and wall ovens. Sub-Zero’s professional refrigeration makes a bold statement as well. On the other end of the room, we opted for tall glass doors for all the dish storage. The polished chrome cremone bolts provide the perfect “jewelry” for these large doors. The island finishes off the design by providing ample work surface and choice seating that takes full advantage of the coastal vista.
